A Place Like Home
Chambers Court comprises three purpose-built homes, developed in 1999, providing care and support for up to 48 adults. We support people living with dementia, physical disabilities and sensory impairments, as well as adults with learning disabilities and behaviours that may require additional support.

Living Well at Chambers Court
Our experienced and well-trained team provides personalised care and support tailored to each resident’s individual needs. Staff receive a wide range of specialist training, including dementia awareness, learning disability awareness, epilepsy and CALM, helping them provide safe, compassionate and responsive care. Alongside care and support, activities, entertainment and social opportunities are an important part of life at Chambers Court, helping residents stay active, connected and engaged.

Hello, I’m Mandy
I have been part of the Abbotsford family for 26 years, beginning my career as an SCA in our Learning Difficulties Unit. I then progressed to Deputy Manager, supporting a site caring for 32 older people and 16 people with learning difficulties, before taking on my current role as Care Home Manager. I am passionate about continuous learning and making positive changes that improve the lives of our residents and support our staff. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends.

Our menus offer plenty of variety and seasonal favourites, with special occasions and celebrations giving everyone another reason to enjoy good food and good company.

What isn’t included in the weekly fee?
Our weekly fees cover accommodation, meals and snacks, laundry, personal and nursing care, and our activities programme. A few personal extras are charged separately, such as hairdressing, chiropody, toiletries, newspapers and magazines, clothing, and personal outings or escorts to appointments. Each home can give you a full list, so there are no surprises.
Can I arrange respite while exploring longer-term options?
Yes, a respite stay can be a good way to get support quickly while you weigh up longer-term care. Contact your preferred home to discuss availability.
Are staff fully trained?
Training is at the heart of our care. Abbotsford has its own SQA-accredited Assessment Centre, through which our team can gain SVQ qualifications in Social Services and Healthcare, right up to SVQ 4 in Care Services Leadership and Management. So the people caring for your loved one are supported to keep learning and developing throughout their careers.
