We had an open afternoon and invited family, friends and the wider community to come down and see what we are all about and to meet some of our lovely residents. We involved all 3 of our units. We organised a huge raffle and a 'nifty fifty' to raise money.
At 2.30pm our first visitors arrived and were welcomed into the home. Very quickly the sitting rooms filled up with friends and family and it became a very lively and fun afternoon. Lots of cake and chocolates were eaten and washed down with lots of cups of tea. The climax of the afternoon was drawing of the raffle, the room was 'almost' silent wuth the susoense. We raised a whopping £133.60 for our planned 'Haven Garden' project and we are very grateful to everyone who contributed.
