Twiddlemuffs Donation from St Columbus Church
Tuesday, 10 January 2017
St Columbus ladies visited Strathburn Lodge with a generous knitted twiddlemuffs donation for the Lodge residents.
On the 10th of June 2016; ladies from St Columbus church, Glenrothes, visited our home and kindly donated 15 knitted twiddlemuffs for our residents.
This was a project idea for the St Columbus ladies to knit so many muffs and then donate those to local residential homes in Glenrothes area; where we were visited by the church ladies on that day.
Twiddlemuffs are knitted muffs with interesting bits and bobs attached. Muffs are helping dementia patients by comforting and therapeutic as they help encourage movement and brain stimulation.
At Strathburn Lodge, we distributed the muffs to our residents and they are absolutely loving them.
