Sponsored walk

It was decided a few months ago that we would organise a sponsored walk for residents funds round Lochore meadow. The date was set to correspond with Dementia awareness week and Mental health week. All monies raised would go towards the resident's social funds and our mystery bus tour in July.
We all arranged to meet all the café at 2pm to start our walk round the park, we all had our fingers crossed for a bright sunny day and we were not disappointed, we were very lucky and we even had to take our jackets off! Residents and staff joined together (wearing neon) and started on our journey, luckily the meadows have a brand new path suitable for wheelchairs, the wind blew a bit but we marched on. We completed the walk in 1 hour and 30 minutes.
We are still collecting money in but we have raised over £300 so far, well done to all who took part.
