Abbotsford Chambers Court helped to support assessment resident George with his wish to return home for visits to see his wife.
Once George was assisted into a wheelchair and was ready to go, our activities coordinator Ray walked George to his house.
As they arrived, George saw his neighbour who was happy to see him and asked how he was doing. George’s wife Jean met them at their front door then he was soon inside settled in his favourite chair.
Jean told George that she was so pleased to see him at home, George replied “it was good to be there.”
They all sat chatting about many things from dancing at the Cowdenbeath Pally, to when George was a champion bowler and their family.
George enjoyed his home visit and Jean said she was really happy to see George home.
George has now been on a couple of home visits and the staff from Chambers Court would like to continue supporting George to make them a regular happy occurrence for him.
