Green Fingers at CDB

Chambers Court's vegetable garden has come a long way in the two months since it was built by our handyman James and vegetables planted by residents with assistance from our cook Diane. Diane also tended to the plans at they have grown.
We have grown a bit of everything in our garden including potatoes, white/red onions, shallots, carrots, runner beans, courgettes, tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos and strawberries. Our residents are really getting the benefit of the fresh produce.
The garden is fully accessible for all with easy access for wheelchairs and Zimmer frames.
Residents have also taken part in craft activities making items for the garden which included ladybug/bee windmills and painting their own flowerpots for herbs/chives.
Visitors told staff that they were very impressed with the vegetable garden and that it is great seeing their relatives out enjoying themselves.
