Cowdenbeath Nursery Visit
Wednesday, 8 May 2019
Activities coordinator Ray arranged all items for the nursey children’s visit today as they were going to have an arts and crafts afternoon with our residents.
The children soon arrived and greeted all the residents before everyone began to paint and colour in.
The children all joined in, sitting amongst residents while Lily and Helen began to colour and paint pictures.
As everyone joined in with the arts and crafts, Margaret and Nancy enjoyed chatting to the children.
Once everyone had painted, coloured or used glue and glitter, the children then lined up to wash their hands before sitting down to have a drink and a snack.
The children then started to sing some songs from items they had in a box. They got the residents and their families to join in too. Mary and Ann were the first to join in then Sonny chose an item out of the box and began to sing Humpty Dumpty. Everyone joined in. The children then sung one more song before it was time for them to go.
The children and the teachers thanked everyone for making them feel welcome. The children also told staff that they all enjoyed painting, colouring and having a snack.
Everyone said goodbye and that they would see them again soon.
