Cowdenbeath Nursery Visit

Our residents made cakes this morning as they were expecting a visit from Cowdenbeath Nursery children. They were coming to sing songs and rhymes with everyone.
Staff assisted residents to make krispie cakes and cupcakes. Everyone took turns in mixing ingredients and filling up cases with the mixtures. The cook then baked the cupcakes in the oven before residents then decorated them in preparation for the children’s visit this afternoon.
When the children arrived, they went around and said hello to everyone before they got started.
They then sat in a large circle on the floor and began to sing their songs. Margaret and Helen danced a little in their chairs while Nancy watched them singing with a huge smile on her face.
When the children had finished singing their songs and rhymes, they were offered some of the freshly made cakes or fruit with a choice of different drinks.
The teachers were very thankful to staff for providing snacks and refreshments for the children.
When they had finished their snacks, they thanked everyone and said their goodbyes.
Our residents really enjoyed the childrens visit and are looking forward to their next visit.
