Summer Fete & Opening of Sensory Garden
Saturday, 4 August 2018
Mandy Scott and Dawn Easton worked hard organising Our summer fete/sensory garden opening held in our new garden on Saturday the 4th August from 1-3 pm Also, the grand opening of our sensory garden by local MP Peter Grant. We had a tombola, cake and candy stall, face painting a very popular bottle stall, sand art and a prize raffle and some yummy burgers and hot dogs fresh of the BBQ
Our summer fete and joint opening of our sensory garden went successfully well this year, the sun was shining, and we had lots of family, friends and people from the local community joining us. Our tombola, bottle stall and cake and candy stalls were the favourites. Local boy Owen Stark gave us a few Scottish tunes on the bagpipes and the residents were entertained Sarah Hendrie highland dancers. Also, local MP Peter Grant kindly donated a beautiful plaque to display in our Garden he said a few kind words then cut the ribbon to officially open the garden, our sensory garden is a working progress and in partnership with local community garden group TWIG who attended also. We raised over £490. A huge thank you to all who donated to our tombola stall, to Cathy for her hard work making the scrumptious cake and candy, also to all the business that donated Raffle prizes.
