The Eurovision comes to Abbotsford Argyle & Bute House
Saturday, 14 May 2016
All residents and staff from Argyle and Bute house all got together in Bute to have a little party for the up and coming Eurovision (any excuse for a party). We had our normal Saturday speciality meal for tea and the residents enjoyed some cold beer, whisky & blue WKDs. One thing is for sure Argyle & Bute sure know how to party.
In the morning, Kayleigh Docherty put her art skills to good use when Julie Green asked if she could design tops for the Eurovision. Kayleigh accepted and the finished design as great. We all went to Bute house were we decorated it in flags from all over the world. We also made MICs so the residents could get involved with the singing.
We even gave the united kingdom's song (you are not alone by Joe & Jake) a try but although we fully support the UK the song was not the best. Once we Tried that and it failed, we moved on to sing many other songs. I think you will agree by the pictures everyone definitely got involved.
Unfortunately the UK did not win, but we had fun celebrating for it.
