Care Support Worker

Abbotsford Care are currently recruiting Care Support Workers to join their team where we have both full and part time opportunities available. Our full time contracts guarantee on average 40.25 hours per week. In the role of a Care Support Worker you will be required to work both day and night shifts in accordance with the duty rota. We are also recruiting Care Support Workers to work permanent night shift contracts on either a full or part time basis. Our care home staff work 12 hr shifts across varying shift patterns - this will be discussed further during the interview process.
Our team of Care Support Workers work together on delivering a high standard of personal care and provide daily support to our residents to enable them to lead as independent a life as possible offering them dignity, self-respect and privacy at all times.

We will work with you through our 26-week induction and orientation program where you will develop the skills and knowledge required to begin your career with Abbotsford Care. You will cover a variety of training courses including Moving & Handling, Infection Control, Fire Safety, Dementia Awareness and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults. Abbotsford Care are an accredited SVQ employer and within our internal training department, our trainers will work with you to obtain professional training and development qualifications such as SVQ's in Health & Social Care at level's 2, 3, 4 as well as managerial qualifications.

All staff within Abbotsford must be a member of the PVG Scheme (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) which is applied for, by Abbotsford, after a conditional offer of employment is made. The cost for this is met by the successful individual – further information will be discussed at interview.
All new staff joining our team must complete our compulsory orientation programme covering topics such as Fire Awareness, Moving & Handling, Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and many more.
